We are a family all about practicing and proclaiming the way of Jesus to transform lives and bless our city
Each week we see new faces at Lifetree. We don’t single out visitors but welcome everyone to find their way in at their own pace. Please contact us if you’d like more information.

Bruce and Lorraine Friesen –
Founders
Bruce + Lorraine are the founders of Lifetree Centre. Their motivation is to see people established in their fullest and purest identities. They believe that once individuals discover their identities life will come not only to the person but to their families, their neighbourhoods, cities, and even their nations. Bruce has travelled internationally with this message.
In September 2002 Lion of Judah Ministries was founded by Bruce and Lorraine Friesen. The first meetings, with a handful of people, took place on Friday nights. Things grew quickly and in the spring of 2003 LOJ began gathering at Goward House in Victoria.
September 2003 Jason and Christine Goertzen joined the team and Lion of Judah continued to grow. LOJ had two more moves. The first one being to Lakeview School in November 2003 and the second one taking place in late August 2004 to the current location at Durrance School.
In May 2014 a group from LOJ moved into Vic West with Pepe and Leah Martinez to establish Connection, to minister to community surrounding Vic West Community Centre.
November 2014 brought a name change from Lion of Judah Ministries to Lifetree Ministry.
August 2018 Caleb and Telsey Friesen became the Senior Pastors at Lifetree Church as Bruce and Lorraine Friesen stepped into a focus on international ministry and discipleship.
-We believe that the Bible is the living Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.
-We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
-We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives and the cross of Christ and the blood of Jesus enabled us to be reconciled to the Father.
-We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
-We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
-We believe salvation is received by grace through faith in Christ, it can not be earned.
-We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively.
-We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
-We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts in order to equip the body of Christ.
-We believe that our eternal destination is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
-We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
